Tennessee – Commission on Children and Youth’s Ombudsman Program
An ombudsman is a person whose job is to work out problems between people and government. The Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth’s (TCCY) Ombudsman Office is an external problem resolution mechanism for children in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services (DCS) or placed in the DCS kinship care/relative caregiver program.

Utah – Child Protection
The Office of Child Protection Ombudsman (OCPO) was established by the Utah State Legislature to help the Department of Human Services (DHS) resolve concerns about the protection of children who are receiving services from the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS). The purpose of OCPO is to receive and investigate complaints to ensure that proper services are provided by DCFS.
